Plot

In the crumbling heart of Seoul, where the streets once echoed with life and laughter, a deadly virus has erupted—mutating the infected into ravenous, unstoppable zombies. As panic spreads and the city descends into chaos, one thing remains untouched by the apocalypse: love.

Lee Jae-Yoon (Park Jeong-Min), a soldier haunted by the fear that he joined the army too late and lost precious time, is stationed miles away when the outbreak hits. While others build careers and futures, Jae-Yoon battles not just the undead—but his own uncertainty about what comes next.

Miles across the city, his girlfriend Kang Young-Joo (Kim Ji-Soo) is trapped in a nightmare of her own. Once dubbed the “Goddess of the Engineering Department” for her beauty and brilliance, she’s now just another survivor in a collapsing world. A rookie employee on her first job, Young-Joo’s dreams are quickly drowned by screams and sirens.

With the city falling apart and the infected swarming every street, they make a promise: no matter what, find each other.

What follows is a pulse-pounding journey through blood-stained alleyways, abandoned subways, and hauntingly silent skyscrapers. As the line between life and death thins, Jae-Yoon and Young-Joo fight through swarms of the undead, desperate to reunite in a world that’s forgotten what it means to love, to hope, to feel human.

But in a city where every heartbeat could be your last, can love really survive? Or is their reunion just another dream waiting to be devoured?

"When the World Ends, I’ll Find You" is a breathtaking blend of romance, survival, and horror—a Korean drama that explores what it means to hold onto humanity in the most inhuman of times. Perfect for fans of Train to Busan, All of Us Are Dead, and emotional survival stories with a beating heart beneath the horror.
